The Birth Story (Part 1)

Dear Hasan,

You were born on 22nd November 2016 at 10:42PM but your birth story started one week before that.

I was studying for my exam which was going to happen that night.  It was 16 November 16. When I stood up from the dining chair to get some water, I noticed the seat was wet.  I took a picture of it and sent it to abahjaan, nani and dadi to get their opinion if it was my waterbag.  All 3 agreed it was so I called Dr Roger Heng (my awesome powsome gynae) to ask if I could still sit for the exam.  Truth be told, I was semi hoping you would just come out on that day so I wouldn't feel so bad for not going for an exam I wasn't really prepared for haha so anyway, Dr Heng told me to go to the hospital to be observed.  I waited for abahjaan to come back from work and we headed down to Parkway East Hospital. When we reached, Dadi, Dada and Nani just reached too.  Everyone were excited at the possibility of you coming out on that day.  Cut the story short, it wasn't time yet and I could still make it for my exam.  Abahjaan was a little concerned about me still sitting for the exam because the possibility of my waterbag breaking/ me going into labour in the exam hall was pretty high but alhamdulilah even though you were kicking almost non stop during the exam and I was in some degree of pain, we managed to sit through the 3 hour paper in 2 hours and alhamdulilah, I have recieved my results, we passed the Marriage Counselling module, Hasan! haha

On the 21st of November 2016, I went to Dr Heng because I was in pain but after putting me on the contraction machine, he told me that I will only give birth in 2 weeks time.  The nurse however told me that my contractions were quite near and if I wanted to give birth soon, I should walk a lot.  Abahjaan and I didn't know where to head to after so we decided to go into JB and top up petrol + get the car washed and probably get ourselves a nice meal because abahjaan had just received the Outstanding Contribution Award (this is an awesome award for an awesome teacher like him) so we wanted to celebrate.  When we were in JB though, I told abahjaan that I didn't think we should have our lunch there as it was too risky.  I could give birth to you anytime (maternal instincts) so we just got the tank filled and the car washed.  We left JB and headed to Far East Flora so abahjaan could get his plants and I could walk as much as possible as adviced by the nurse at Dr Heng's clinic.  So walk I did, like a lot a lot and bought the plants we did, like a lot a lot and happy we were, we headed home.  I then met Aunty Kamilah for a nice dinner at Seoul Garden where we ate till our tummies got so bloated I felt I could pop.  And pop I did, 24hours later :)
